SCT – Société de Chimie Thérapeutique

The French Medicinal Chemistry Society (SCT) is a non-profit organization founded in 1966,  whose missions are to promote knowledge in key areas of pharmaceutical research and development, particularly in the research and validation of biological targets of therapeutic interest, screening, design, optimization and selection of drug candidates, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetic, metabolism and toxicity (ADME-T: absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, toxicity).

The Association organizes an annual international conference covering the aspects mentioned above (Rencontres Internationales de Chimie Thérapeutique : RICT), thematic days dedicated to young researchers (Young Research Fellow Meeting : YRFM), and workshops focused on specific topics (Spring and Fall meetings).

SCT reward researchers with prizes to encourage their research and their commitment towards medicinal chemistry.
